TARA’S STORY Honoring Tara’s Legacy: A Mission of Hope and Support On September 9, 2015, our beloved Tara Brown was tragically murdered by her ex-partner in a horrific act of domestic violence. Tara was a young mother to a 3-year-old girl and a cherished member of a large, extended family. Known for her outgoing nature, Tara was an accomplished touch football player, celebrated for her achievements at the highest levels of the game. She was always smiling and carried a positive attitude, Tara was a joy to be around and brought happiness to all who knew her. But ….. Our Mission The Tara Brown Foundation for Domestic and Family Violence Relief was established to honour Tara’s memory by making a difference in the lives of domestic and family violence victims and survivors.
